How it started

Pakka holds a special place in our journey—it’s officially our longest-standing client.

Our partnership began in 2018 when we connected with Ueli Baruffol over coffee and a conversation about the brand’s challenges in expanding its presence in its main market, Europe—specifically Switzerland.

At the time, Pakka faced several obstacles: a lack of clarity in its visual language, low logo visibility on packaging, and a complex SKU portfolio that made color coding difficult. However, customers strongly recognized the brand’s graphic hierarchy and overall aesthetic. With that foundation in place, we set out on a journey to evolve the brand for sustainable growth.

Goal

Our initial objective was to rethink Pakka’s brand architecture, enhance packaging design, and improve visibility on supermarket shelves.

We aimed to preserve the key design elements that resonated with existing customers while optimizing the brand hierarchy and introducing a new color-coding system to support long-term expansion. Beyond packaging, we developed new graphic assets for marketing communications and infused fresh energy into the brand’s growth strategy.

Result

Alongside Christian Nesser, we launched a revitalized brand, introduced new products with redesigned packaging, and brought a fresh visual identity to life.

This work has continued year after year, now in close collaboration with Eliane Wanner, supporting Pakka’s expansion into new product categories.

Despite the distance, our partnership remains strong. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting the Pakka team in Colombia, and recently, we visited Switzerland for the first time—experiencing the breathtaking mountains and rich culture that shape the brand’s heritage.

Pakka is more than just a brand; it’s a company dedicated to building market opportunities and creating demand for small producers in Africa and Latin America.

Thank you, Pakka—here’s to many more years of impact and growth!
