How it started
Huevos Santa Anita is one of the most successful brands in the competitive egg category in Colombia.
Throughout its 66 years of history, the brand has always sought ways to provide nutrition. However, after exploring various alternatives, it was time to go beyond the boundaries of the egg. The idea was to create a differentiated portfolio that continues to deliver nutrition, using the egg as a base. We gathered the team to brainstorm new ideas, and among them, a bold challenge emerged: People love eggs, and they love chocolate. What if we combined them?
Goal
Our goal was to make the fusion of egg and chocolate appealing by creating a new protein bar, supported by a fresh brand that would fuel the growth of a new portfolio.
We designed the new branding with busy individuals in mind—those who need instant nutrition between meals, but the difficulty of carrying eggs everywhere made it impractical. Thus, the Eggy Bars were born, first in chocolate, followed by vanilla with great success. It grew so much that we continued expanding the category, pushing the boundaries to new products. Today, we also offer Pancake Mix with three different flavors. This was supported by communication strategies, marketing, and point-of-sale activations.
Result
Today, Santa Anita Eggy is not only a leader in the egg category but also in the pancake category, continuing to thrive in the competitive Colombian market.
With a graphic presence that highlights the importance of the egg and a communication tone aligned with the target audience, we are reaffirming that we are breaking the barriers of the egg, positioning the brand as an innovative company that is able to move across categories successfully.
